Makateti is derived from the Amharic word meaning 'to incorporate' or 'to include'.  It reflects a simple belief:  the defining leadership challenge of our time is not adopting artificial intelligence - it is turning AI investment into measurable business value.  It happens only when AI is intentionally incorporated into the way organisations are designed, work is performed, decisions are made and value is created.

Founded by transformation leader Marjorie Strachan, Makateti draws on more than three decades of experience advising boards and executive teams through complex business transformation.

Inspired by her childhood in the Ethiopian Highlands (widely regarded as the birthplace of humanity) and a career spanning multiple industries, Marjorie founded Makateti around a simple but powerful conviction:  the greatest breakthroughs occur when human capability and technology are intentionally designed to work together.
